:CATARACT

.It means the lens of eye is blurring which disrupts passage of light through the lens of the eye

:Signs of Cataract

.Blurred vision,decreased visual,dark colors, benig light spots in the field of view and constantly changing the number of glasses

:Cataract treatment

There is no non-surgical treatment. the most commonly used  method is phaco surgery

:Training during discharge  

.After surgery ,there may be light pain that uses the usual acetaminophen

.The good position after operation is lying on your back or towards the healthy eye

.Avoid action that increase the pressure inside the eye such as :sneezing ,coughing ,straining ,bending head down too much

.Prevention of infection by regular adminstration of oral and ocular antibiotics

.To prevent eye damage after surgery,put a shield on your eye for 24 hours.take this shield from eye at night

.Do not sleep on the operated eye for  4 week

.Due to the sensitivity of operated eye to light,use standard sun glasses to protect from the sun

.Avoid bending and standing for a long time

.The operated eye do not be in contact

with water for 7-10 days

.Blurred vision may have exist for several days to weeks after surgery

.Cleaning should be done from the inside of the eye to outside.to do this,use a clean bandage and cooled boiled water

.Avoid lifting heavy things,strain during ward off  and hard activity for 6 week

.Avoid flatulent foods

:How to use eye drops

.The tip of dropper should not come into contact with the eye.the best place to dropping s lower eyelid.no move 2 drops of the drug should enter the eye at a time because it is wasted.

.If you need to use several eye drops at the same time,take a gap of 5-10 mintues between them.

: Signs of postoperative eye infection

Visual faint-swelling of the eyelid,redness,purulent discharge from the eye,see our doctor if these  signs occure.

:Very important

If there are signs of eye infection and the following signs, go to medical centers.

Sudden and severe pain in the eyes,flies,seeing bright and blinking lights and decreased vision.

It should be noted that the prensence of brief discharge and the feeling itching and redness are normal,especially in the morning.

The rate of success cataract surgery  it is very high and the paitent’s vision improves:but in some cases,due to other eye disease that limit vision,a person’s vision does not reach the desired level.
